A Hotel’s Warm Welcome

After a long day of travel, nothing says welcome like a little something extra left in our hotel room by the staff.  My family really appreciates finding these treats when we arrive.  It makes us feel extra special. Often when I think about booking a property again in the future, it is little touches like these that stand out in my mind and remind me where we should stay.

Ink 48, A Kimpton Hotel – New York, NY

Ink48 in Manhattan sure knows how to tuck a girl in.  I found these sweets waiting for us when we came home on our first evening at the hotel.  Sweet dreams to me!

Hotel Vermont – Burlington, VT

Everything at the Hotel Vermont is locally sourced, including these little goodies that arrived in our suite when our family checked in for a recent stay at the property.

Ojai Valley Inn and Spa – Ojai Valley, CA

The service at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa is outstanding and we were pleasantly surprised to find this wonderful welcome from Ashleigh in our room on our first day. The sweet tooth’s in my family can attest to how good these cupcakes tasted. This Five Diamond Resort doesn’t disappoint on any level.

Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain – Montreal, Canada

The view from the top floors, plus the outstanding downtown location of the Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain, is enough to make me want to put this property on my “must return to” hotel list. However this warm welcome really blew me away.

Hotel Omni Mont-Royal – Montreal, Canada

I wish I could say this one was for me. However on our first night in at the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal just enough milk and cookies were delivered to for the kids at bedtime.

  1. You’re so right, especially when it’s something for both the parents and the kids! Based on these welcome pressie I would love to go to Kimpton in NY and the Montreal Marriott. In general, I’ve been quite impressed with the Marriott welcomes…

  2. I love welcome treats! It’s such a simple touch but it definitely influences my opinion of the hotel and whether or not I would want to return. Both Montreal hotels sound great – I’m hoping to visit sometime this year so I will keep them in mind.

  3. I absolutely adore this post. Love it. What great treats. I cannot resist a cupcake.

  4. Ohhhh such good treats. Why don’t I ever get these?? Do you make your res. under the name of Brad & Ange? I’d vote Kimpton as the best one.

  5. I agree, I love getting little treats like that when staying in hotels! They all look delicious!

  6. I love that during hotel stays it’s just a great occasion to be treated like royalty. All of those little touches it make such a difference!
